McNaught<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is a clinical and forensic psychologist with specialized training in forensic psychology. In private practice for more than 35 years, she is recognized locally and nationally as a psychological forensic expert.\u00a0 Dr. McNaught has worked with defense and plaintiff attorneys, served as a court-appointed expert, and testified in district, federal and military courts within the State of Minnesota and nationally.<\/p>\n<p>In the areas of civil, criminal and family law, she has conducted over 1,700 forensic evaluations and testified as a forensic expert regarding adults and children on over 500 occasions. She is also a qualified expert in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and has worked with both the United States Army and Navy in that capacity.<\/p>\n<h4>Consulting and Critique of Professional Evaluations<\/h4>\n<p>Dr. McNaught is often retained to provide case consultation and critique other professionals\u2019 forensic evaluations. When asked to critique the work of other evaluators, she addresses: current standards of practice and ethical considerations for forensic psychological evaluations; psychological testing in forensic evaluations; the reliability of the plaintiff\u2019s statements compared to collateral records; and she also reviews underlying documents used to substantiate forensic opinions.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her career, Dr. McNaught has maintained both a clinical and forensic practice. In clinical practice, she specializes in two areas: evaluating and treating adults and children who experienced physical\/sexual abuse; and treating and evaluating children and adults involved in high-conflict divorce. In addition, she has treated adults and children with depression and anxiety, as well as those experiencing situational stress. Earlier in her career, as a teacher and then school psychologist, Dr. McNaught worked with children experiencing educational and behavioral issues.
